Pre-Construction

We are here to ensure your modular project begins with the ultimate sports facility endgame in mind. PlugBox Haus’s pre-manufacturing services includes every aspect of your prefabricated project’s scope.

Maximizing construction efficiencies and reduces risk

We deliver the insight, expertise, and communication to ensure the modular project is clearly defined and executable by all parties involved. Before prefabricated manufacturing begins, we work with our sports facility clients on the overall analysis, strategy, and feasibility of the modular project in question. Involving a specialized modular contractor like PlugBox Haus early on in the process helps guide clients through the project from a prefabricated constructibility viewpoint.

Defining project goals

While focused on reducing costs, VE is a unique opportunity to engage the innovative thinking and creative problem solving of our modular experts. The key is to achieve value for money, not just cut prefabricated costs. Depth of experience and lateral thinking drive alternative modular solutions that respect your sports facility design. A better prefabricated solution may be cost neutral with possible savings over the life of the facility or in overall modular construction time. We can model alternate modular solutions with rapid cost analysis of various prefabricated design options.

Identifying potential issues

Certain features, like utilities access or site constraints, might be difficult to incorporate into the modular design, or there may be a potential for delivery challenges or foundation issues. You can even prepare ahead for any procurement delays of specialized prefabricated components or installation equipment. All of these issues can be addressed during the pre-manufacturing phase.

Pre-Construction surveys

A pre-installation survey is an extensive analysis of the physical state of the property and its surroundings (adjacent buildings, utilities access, foundation requirements, etc.) undertaken before any modular construction takes place. These surveys help modular contractors and engineers pinpoint potential problems beforehand and help determine whether site modifications are needed for prefabricated module installation. These surveys help find major challenges like drainage, crane access, or foundation requirements. Smaller things like site grading—leveling out uneven land for modular placement—are also checked at this point so that installation challenges do not emerge later during modular assembly or after sports facility move-in.
